An off-the-street motel in Niagara during a hot summer day. This was years ago, and I’m not sure if it’s still around, as many businesses in the town core and immediate surroundings have closed. Clifton Hill is still thriving, of course, if you want to throw your money at some tourist kitsch. Just visit the Falls off-season, is my advice.

From a weekend visit to Detroit that became a much longer trip than anticipated. I did enjoy Detroit, especially the John K. King bookstore, and would have loved to go back with a more photographic purpose.

Spring in Ontario, years ago. Unionville is a picturesque little village in Markham – worth a visit. The main street has been a stand-in for the fictional Connecticut town of Stars Hollow during the first season of Gilmore Girls television show.

Not quite a massacre, but there was an incident with chainsaw-wielding individuals here some years ago. Go figure. It was featured in an episode of the TV show “The Boys” and parts of the film “Silent Hill: Revelation 3D” were filmed here, too.
